ben kweller: this man and his band rocked the houze like a hurricane hitting a tornado: loud
and heavy. anyway a very rockin cool dude. after he told a story on stage and dedicated
a song to a little girl, sonia, who has had cancer since the age of three, i decided
to get the stuffed animal wolf, i bought at target, graphed for her. i did and ben that it was very cool
as well as i. after some chatting i went home as i had to get beauty sleep for the next
day: (if you must know i had a meeting with george bush on how to run a f-ing country)
anyway that morning i called sonia and told her about the surprise and that little girl's face lit up the
phone like a firecracker on the planet mars. happy was a word in her vocabulary that day. instead of mailing
it, the next day i went down to denver childrens hospital and gave it to her personally. i could see the joy and
thanks in her eyes. cool beans. |
stephen lynch: singer/songwriter/comedian- this guys albums are so funny the word pee comes to mind. superhero, a stepen lynch album, is liked by batman, robin, aquaman and wonderwoman. i think wonderboy might even like his album. he is a character and to see him live is like seeing a fireball on stage. the picture i got signed is him, but i tweaked it some in photoshop. rock on and see you at the show |
john butler trio- a gifted and talented gentle giant from down under. an aussie who is not from the borders of mexico. he and his trio were so good when they played the fox, the bestess club in the world, i thought i was going to piss my pants, but i soon realized it was just me drooling my drink down my shirt (have to go back to etiquette skool). check them out. |
jim carrey- i met this cat at stanford college when he was doing a stand up show. his funny antics continued after the show as he signed the autograph with his arm behind his back and under his leg. he also stood on his head. |
bob packwood- this congress dude loved... |
janet leigh- an actress from beyond the voices... this is a star that had psycho power- janet say hi to jimi for me- r.i.p. 10/04 |
black happy- this ska-rock- act was great. i first saw them open for cherry poppin daddies in 1993. they were very nice and for some years i kept in touch with paul hemingway, but since lost contact. where you at paul? |
